World-of-ereader.com is a website all about reading on modern devices. We offer reviews, news on e-readers, and news on the worldwide ebook market:
- hardware tests (e-reader reviews)
- news
- a Youtube channel with reviews and tutorials
Team: editor-in-chief and contributors
World-of-ereader.com was created by Nicolas Lorenzon in 2022 as the English-language version of the popular French website Liseuses.net, with the goal of bringing its expertise on e-readers and digital reading to an English-speaking audience.
Nicolas writes almost all of the articles and reviews, with help from outside contributors when possible: Laurent, Adeline, Steve, and Christophe, who review Chinese e-readers.
Nicolas also handles the photos and the YouTube channel (sorry about the video quality!).
The site welcomes outside contributors, but Nicolas remains editor-in-chief to ensure the quality of the content published here.
You can contact Nicolas on Linked In and on Instagram.
Relationships with the e-reader industry
Although our editors are sometimes in contact with e-reader manufacturers, the site does not receive any money from them.
World-of-ereader.com is therefore completely independent, which sometimes makes it difficult to get hold of certain e-reader models, since we have to buy or borrow them to review them.
How does the site earn money?
We all have day jobs, and it’s mainly our passion that keeps us going (along with the constant encouragement from our readers!).
Our operating costs (e-readers, hosting, technical costs, web design, development, and photo and video equipment) are covered by several sources of income:
- affiliate programs, which earn us a small commission on sales
- advertising
- the French version of the website, which remains our main source of income
